Dear Dr. X
Thank you for inquiring about Maud, she is still doing phenomenally well on the doxycycline, clearer in the nasal passages and with more energy than I have seen her in some time. I'm really happy with this medication.
As to the procedure, I'm sure you can certainly understand that hearing a detail from one professional and not from the other raises a lot of questions. I sent a registered letter in order to get those questions answered and as far as I can tell it worked. You've never called me personally after the procedure and one email I did send in response to your assistant went unanswered. As for anything in the procedure being "none of my business" I beg to differ. Perhaps you meant to say that it shouldn't concern me as far as the quality of the samples taken. I have to wonder why you decided to mention it to another veterinarian then, if it had no effect on the quality of the biopsies? This created the confusion and doubt.
I am not going to pursue any more line of questioning, because it really wouldn't help Maud at this point. I am happy she is doing well on the medication. However, if you had been up front with me about the scope in the beginning I probably wouldn't have questioned anything. I am an understanding person who appreciates the talents of professionals, but I am also demanding when it comes to the health and well-being of the animals I care for. I hope you can understand my instincts here.
